To open the Hexagon season and launch our British Celebration, our Resident Orchestra, the RPO, will be joined by perhaps the most popular of British pianists, John Lill, performing one of the seventy or more concertos from his repertoire, Rachmaninov's 2nd. A firm favourite among Reading audiences and local orchestras alike, John Lill has performed on The Hexagon stage on many occasions. In a career that spans over fifty years and has taken him to over fifty countries around the world, John is unanimously described as the leading British pianist of his generation.
