Concert HallClassical Music Alive 2011/2012
The 2011-2012 Classical Music Alive season welcomes a wealth of orchestras, conductors, ensembles and soloists from home and abroad. Alongside The Hexagon’s Resident Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, The Hallé and the European Union Chamber Orchestra return to the stage and the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse makes its debut. The Concert Hall continues to champion the best of the world’s Chamber Music, with performances by audience favourites, The Sixteen and The King’s Singers, piano music from Mitsuko Uchida, Jonathan Biss, Angela Hewitt and Alexander Melnikov and ensemble works from The London Conchord Ensemble, Jerusalem String Quartet and Meta4. The kids get a chance to be noisy again this season, with ‘Heroes and Villains’ – another fantastic family concert from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The Hexagon season concludes with a Diamond Celebration Concert featuring the truly incredible Nigel Kennedy. Performing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, we are delighted to welcome him to Reading to celebrate 2012. Book your tickets early! Subscription packages are available, saving up to 30% on the price of your booking, plus pre-pay programmes and pre-pay car park tickets. Booking for individual concerts is open from 10 May 2011 on 0118 9606060, in person at The Hexagon or online. Booking fees apply. |
