In 2010-2011, Classical Music Alive celebrates British music-making; our shores boast some of the finest orchestras, ensembles, conductors and soloists in the World. In addition to three concerts by The Hexagon’s Resident Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, we also welcome to the stage the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hallé and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. The Concert Hall will play host to top British artists including The Sixteen, The Nash Ensemble and an exciting performance of Steve Reich’s Drumming by the Colin Currie Group, as well as some of the best talent from further afield. We are also delighted to present Noisy Kids “All Creatures Great & Small” - a lively and exhilarating family concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, full of musical stomping, rumbles and growls! A perfect introduction to classical music for your children or grandchildren.
